Terms and conditions

By placing an order with (us) Sticks you will be deemed to have read the following.

1. Reproduction

We take every reasonable care to ensure that all product descriptions are accurate and that colour reproduction is as true as telegraphic, photographic and printing processes permit.

2. The Contract

A contract does not exist between us (Sticks) and you (the purchaser) until the goods have been paid for in full and we have acknowledged receipt of your payment by letter form or email excepting that when items are ordered from our NEW COLLECTION and specially made for you a contract will exist when we have acknowledged receipt of your deposit and seven days have elapsed.

3. Delivery and delivery charges

Areas outside the UK are excluded from these delivery conditions and charges – as are the Scottish Islands and Highlands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, the Scilly Isles and the Channel Isles. The excluded areas are subject to individual quotation by request.

A) Furniture – NEW COLLECTION and RETRO COLLECTION

All items are carefully examined and packed for delivery by specialist furniture movers.

Prior to despatch we will contact you to agree a mutually convenient date and timeslot for delivery.

It will be necessary for the purchaser or a responsible representative to accept and sign for the delivery.

Signs of damage to the consignment, including the packaging, should be noted and brought to the attention of the delivery team.

If a delivery arrangement is unsuccessful because you or a representative are not in attendance as agreed a charge of £60 may be levied.

Furniture pieces from our RETRO selection are delivered within 10 days but items from our NEW COLLECTION are made specifically to order and are delivered within 10 weeks.

All delivery charges and Vat at the prevailing statutory rate are included in the sales prices quoted on our website

B) Other Items.

Items are normally despatched within 48 hours (subject to stock availability). If we have known reasons why this cannot occur we will make every effort to advise you. However, we will not accept responsibility for failure to deliver goods by any required date.

Delivery charges where appropriate for each item are individually quoted on our order form and all prices include Vat at the currently appropriate legal rate.

4. Returns Policy (See also REFUNDS – Section 5)

A) Furniture – NEW COLLECTION
Items made especially for you from this collection are non-returnable except where we (Sticks) entirely at our discretion are able to make an exception.
Items damaged in transit will be collected free of charge and re-delivered by appointment within 30 days either restored to original condition or replaced with an identical item at the discretion of Sticks.

It is essential that our RETURNS FORM be completed and attached to the returned goods.

B) Furniture – RETRO COLLECTION
Each delivery is accompanied by a RETURNS FORM for completion when returns are made. It is essential that this form is returned, completed, with the goods for a refund to be issued.

The costs of returning goods in original condition is the responsibility of the purchaser. Upon request we can offer a quotation(including insurance)to collect unwanted goods which should be suitably re-packaged by the purchaser prior to the time of collection.

Items which have been damaged in transit are collected free of charge. At the request of the customer Sticks will repair the goods to original condition or offer a refund. If a suitable repair is not deemed feasible Sticks will refund payment.

Returning goods and associated costs are the responsibility of the purchaser. For a refund of the purchase price goods should be returned to us undamaged in original branded packaging.

Damaged goods must be returned to and examined by us before a refund or replacement can be offered.
The postage/transport costs of making the return of damaged goods will be refunded by us subject to a fair and reasonable claim being supported by Post Office receipts/courier invoices.

5. REFUNDS

Sticks does not give refunds in the following circumstances –

Items returned more than 30 days after delivery.
Damaged items not notified to us within 7 days.
For goods returned without a completed returns form.

6. RIGHTS TO CANCEL

A) Furniture – NEW COLLECTION
These items are made specifically upon your direction to your individual requirements. Upon receipt of your order we will confirm acceptance and start the manufacturing process. We cannot accept cancellation more than 7 days after the confirmed acceptance of your order and the item is in manufacture.

B) Furniture – RETRO COLLECTION
Nigella Lawson – ‘Living Kitchen’ etc.

Cancellation of the order can be made at any time up to seven days after the goods are delivered.

C) Full refunds will be made within 30 days of cancellation.

7. PAYMENT

We prefer payment via Credit or Debit Card via our secure server but also accept cheques, money orders and postal orders. Card transactions are processed when goods have been despatched; cheques and money orders cleared before despatch. Payment of deposits for NEW COLLECTION purpose made furniture will be processed immediately upon receipt.

In all cases a receipt will be issued via email or post.
